So true. I need to learn to "stop and smell the roses" every day and treat all activities that I do like art. Because if I just rush through life I miss out on the beauty of everyday activities. This is one reason why travel is so important to me. You find the beauty in everyday activities in foreign lands. And for a minute you really live. Now if I could just transfer those "awe" moments of the mundane and daily tasks abroad into my home life I will be living better and appreciating the "art which is life".

We all deserve this. I found this inspiration in my esthetician's office and loved it. It's so true. I hope that all my other Millennial or Gen X friends find their career passions. Life is about Family and Friends and we are now working to live NOT living to work. Times need to change. And everyone needs a career they love.

Quote Friday....Feeling Adventurous

I need more of this "adventurous" feeling everyday. I know that I'm more adventurous than some but I still have my drawbacks and sometimes miss out on open doors due to fear. Nick reminds me that I think too quickly about all the possibilities and sometimes miss out on the adventure.

As you read this Nick and I will be sitting here watching this exact scene over the Pacific Ocean (hopefully if the coastal layers cooperate). We FINALLY get to go on a mini camping trip thanks to Ashley and Rob getting married this weekend in Carmel.

I just like the unique perspective of this quote, made me think of this photo I took on a trip to Fiji in 2006, I thought this experience to watch a native man take his daughter out for a kayak ride was so picturesque and amazing to see, but for them it was just a weekly occurrence, a part of island life. Travel makes you see the wonder and joy in everyday activities. That's why I love it.

I liked this quote because it's so true for any woman. Nick doesn't get that I am always preparing for the worst case scenario and doesn't get why I can't just fly by the seat of my pants, I just don't think it's ingrained in my hormones. I think most women follow this quote. We always want the best but want to be prepared if things go wrong, back up plans are always good.
